Gary’s Wisdom
I began my career as an apprentice dental technician from the age of 17 and since then I have completed over 9-10 years of courses which involved 5 years on a dental technician course, and 3 ½ years on a clinical dental technician course with numerous short courses of ongoing professional development to learn the latest techniques available. All this added to upwards of 38 years’ experience creating beautiful dentures.
Soon after qualifying, I realised I wanted to open my own laboratory making dental appliances for north west dental practices.
At 25 years old in May 1990, I realised my dream and opened Dentco Dental laboratory. 10 years later, I embarked on a mission to become one of the first clinical dental technicians in the UK and had an overwhelming desire to engage and connect with the public more.
So, in 2006 I opened the first Smiles and More Denture clinic in Warrington, and since then have added two other denture clinics in Widnes and Chester under our Smiles and More brand.
What makes us different?
It’s quite simple.
There are very few out and out denture experts in the country with the high level of experience and expertise which I possess. But, I also have a genuine passion for what I do!
I have the desire to help denture wearers who are unhappy with any aspect of their dentures, and it is one of the many reasons why I love my job!
One of the main benefits we have is having our own on-site laboratory. It’s a fantastic facility, allowing us to make our own custom made dentures for all customers – whatever the size or shape of your mouth.
We also offer 0% finance which can help spread the cost over further time for those with limited budgets.
